Sherry was the first Jersey we ever purchased. She is a forever cow meaning we will never sell her. She produces beautiful healthy offspring and is a gentle cow. Sherry is a good milker with high cream content.
Baby is our Jersey Holstein cross. When we purchased her mom we were under the undestanding she was bred Jersey. When Baby was born all black we figured something was up. The previous owners looked into it and it was then uncovered that she had been bred by the cleanup bull, a Holstein. We have no regrets. Baby is a Jersey at heart, she has a very friendly nature and has become a wonderful milk cows and nurse cow for us. Baby has been hand milked, and machine milked. She consistantly raises 3 large calves to fall for us. It will be hard to see her go.
Hayley was born to Lily the summer of 2008, she is a wonderful gal with a great personality. She is eager to please, and would be easy to train as a milk cow or nurse cow. Hayley was sold this spring but never picked up, and we are extremely happy with that. Hayley was broke to milk within a week and has taken everything in stride. She had no problems with us hand milking her, she is an excellent producer and wonderful nurse cow. She raised two heifers for us this year and both did extremely well. We are happy to be keeping Hayley on as a nurse cow for 2011.
Sweetie was born to Lily the summer of 2009. She has always loved attention and will do anything for a treat. She is bred to a black angus bull for a 2011 calf, we are hoping to make her a future family milk/nurse cow.
Lily is the daughter to Rhonda. She is a wonderful milk cow. She is very friendly, always there when you call. She started out very light when born but now has become a very dark Jersey. She has exceded our hope and dreams for her.
Lily was bred accidentally and is calving as a 1 yr old, she did a great job and blessed us with a beautiful little heifer calf. She is doing a great job and is learning the ropes of being a good milk cow, she has been halter broke and will stand well for milking.
Lily has now been sold to a warm loving family home in Northern Saskatchewan. Congratts on your purchase Lisa Smith.
We purchased Rhonda in 2007. She is an excellent producer. She gave us a beautiful heifer calf in 2007 (seen below). Rhonda is a gentle cow as well, she is large for a Jersey but still a very gentle, loving cow. She was a nurse cow to orphan calves in 2007 and she did wonderful, she never showed agression to them at all.
Rhonda gave us a little bull calf in 2008 and is again a wonderful nurse cow raising 3 healthy calves.
RHONDA HAS BEEN SOLD.
